Who represents AEC?
Architecture
Architecture turns ideas into places. Design teams plan how buildings look and function—from schools and apartments to hospitals and community spaces. Pathways can start in high school programs, trade/tech training, community college, or a university degree.
Engineering
Engineering is how buildings and infrastructure work safely and efficiently. Engineers design the systems behind structures, roads, water, power, and heating/cooling. Students can begin through technical programs or college pathways, often with internships and hands-on experience.
Construction
Construction is where plans become real. Skilled trades and construction teams build the homes, schools, bridges, and businesses our communities rely on. Many careers start through apprenticeships, trade schools, or paid on-the-job training—and can grow into leadership roles.

Regional industry leaders, educational institutions, and community partners have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to prioritize behavioral health, suicide prevention, and total worker wellness across Connecticut’s construction and engineering sectors.
