Construction in our state is growing - and new workers are needed!

The job growth for construction workers/laborers is expected to grow over the next 8 years about 7%. This is considered average in any industry, but most laborers move up in their career to other sectors of construction or retire.

With new construction of residential homes and medical facilities expected to grow over the next decade, the need for skilled workers will also rise. Though the entry level for the work is pretty much legal working age, most companies that are reputable and regard their workers safety want those to have their OSHA 10 before they step on a job site. Formal education such as college is not typically required, and some companies even offer on-the-job training. Because of the prevailing need for workers, there are also those who are already experienced that will train those at entry level.

NRWIB offers free training to get you ready for the construction industry. From earning your OSHA 10, to your Lead and Asbestos abatement certification you’ll be prepared to start on any local entry level construction jobs.
