Skills for Manufacturing and Related Technologies

The SMART Grant (Skills for Manufacturing and Related Technologies), was created to address Connecticut’s aging manufacturing workforce through a combination of education and hands on training by way of Connecticut Community College system.

Career Advisors for Manufacturing & Related Technologies are responsible for recruiting manufacturing candidates, conducting orientations/outreach and training activities to build awareness of manufacturing and related technologies training certificate programs. There are 3 Career Advisors covering Connecticut, each with 4 Community Colleges in their respective regions.

The SMART Grant sponsors three certificate programs (1) Pre-Manufacturing, (2) Level One Precision Manufacturing, and (3) Level Two Precision Manufacturing.
